Anyhow, it can cause malabsorbtion and "failure the thrive" (also known as low weight gain). It can also cause a whole host of other problems, like eczema and other things. A gluten-free diet is the only treatment, and a life-long adherence to the diet. We have been GF for over 5 years and eat totally normally, just using alternate flours. Breads, pastas, baked goods. Anyhow, if it turns out to be that and you need any help, just let me know. I hope that you will have answers soon, having a kid who is struggling with an "unknown" issue can be trial, I know all too well.
